It's so strange where people take their lives, isn't it? I met her because we studied kung fu together (that was... maybe 9 or 10 years ago that we first met). And now, here we are... What a world...!
I miss drawing quick sketchy things, I haven't gotten the chance to do fast "fashion" illustrations for two or so years, ever since I stopped taking illustration class in uni. Although my sketches weren't always anatomically correct or... visually appealing... I do miss being able to just bust out a full figure drawing in two minutes. It's a skill I've lost and am trying hard to regain. I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with how slow I draw these days. I think I just lack confidence.
Even the above drawing ended up taking longer than what you would expect because I just kept hesitating and Ctrl-Z-ing. I think a large part of drawing too slowly is thanks to technology and digital drawing where I do have the option to be as precise as possible, and I can continuously undo things, whereas traditional pen and paper isn't as forgiving...
I haven't drawn with pen and paper for a while...
